Tibetan Singing Bowl and Secret Santa!

I never knew there exists something called a Tibetan Singing Bowl ! Or wait I should say I have seen it as a child but probably did not have enough knowledge about it.

Yes a Bowl that sings a serene song resonating musical particles to propagate through your neurons.A music which can transport you to the euphoric world of Buddhist monks with the familiar cherubic smiles on their faces.Imagine you are walking down a monastery corridor, you could take a sneak peek of the Buddhist monks wearing bright maroon wrap around shawls and meditating in a vast prayer room with eyes shut and lips murmuring "Om Mani Padme Hum".You could stick your head out of the colorful banisters of the hanging window of the monastery overlooking a lush green valley atop a mountain.Occasionally you could keep on playing the Tibetan Singing Bowl sitting inside a cold monastery chamber surrounded by white marbles and painted walls with a huge golden head of Lord Buddha etched on the wall ... Ah pure bliss! If you would ask me if I have done that, my answer would be yes and no.Yes I have been to several monasteries and no I have not been to Ladakh monastery which I wish I could do some day in my life.

The monasteries I have been so so far (that I could recollect) are :

1.Monastery near India Nepal border during my first visit to Darjeeling, West Bengal, India when I was in 5th standard in school
2. Monastery in Puri, Orissa, India again while in school
3. Monastery near Lava, West Bengal, India after I got married
4. Monastery somewhere between Darjeeling and Mirik, West Bengal, India  in the year 2010
5. Monastery near Charkhol,West Bengal, India in 2015
6. Monastery near Kalimpong, West Bengal, India in 2015

Vicki showed a fantastic Buddhist meditating device this morning from her collection and taught me how to produce a soothing resonating sound emerging from the rim of the bowl which lingered across the entire floor. There was a rapid propagation of the magical sound particles along my entire body. The sound was extremely palliative and had a calming effect on my mind. Had been suffering from sever headache over the past few days.Tibetan bowl sang pretty well to me and whispered few words of peace into my ears.

Here is a picture of the same from internet.
